The Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, has emerged as the best commissioner for Housing in 2023.
The Award was presented to him in Abuja by the former Minister for Environment, Surv. Suleiman Hassan, at the Africa Housing Awards 2023 event. In his statement, the executive Director, Housing Development Advocacy Network, (HDAN) Festus Adebayo, said the Award was a reward for the hard work of the Commissioner, and is reminiscent of his Continued Commitment even in his 2nd term as Lagos State Commissioner for Housing.
He said “Fatai has been very committed to housing development, this can be seen in his relationships and usual engagement with various housing Agencies and individuals who are key players in providing Affordable housing for residents in Lagos State. Adebayo also commended the efforts of the commissioner who has continued to deliver on key projects to change the narrative of housing development in the State”.

According to the statement, Adebayo stated that the development of Housing in Lagos State has continued to grow in leaps and bounds since the takeover of Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai as commissioner for Housing. The Africa Housing Awards 2023 event took place on the 17th of December, 2023 and had in attendance dignitaries and key players in the industry from all over the World.
