Shettima, govs visit Tinubu in Lagos

Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, visited President Bola Tinubu, at his Bourdillon home in Lagos State.

Aside from Shettima, members of the Nigerian Governors Forum also visited the President to pay Christmas homage at his Lagos residence.

The members of the NGF present include Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, Biodun Oyebamiji, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti and Kwara States respectively.

Others are Governors Abba Kabir Yusuf, Hope Uzodimma, Yahaya Bello, Dauda Lawal of Kano, Imo, Kogi, Zamafara States respectively.

Meanwhile, Tinubu on Tuesday ordered security agencies to fish out culprits of the Christmas Day attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

In a statement signed Tuesday by the Special Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu asked the security agents to apprehend the culprits.

“President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the heinous and brutal attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which resulted in the tragic loss of many lives.

“President Tinubu directs security agencies to immediately move in, scour every stretch of the zone, and apprehend the culprits.

“The President also directs immediate mobilisation of relief resources for surviving victims of the primitive and cruel attacks as well as medical treatment for the wounded.”

While condoling with the government and the people of Plateau State, Tinubu assured Nigerians that “these envoys of death, pain, and sorrow will not escape justice.”
