Ogun State Government has restated its commitment to tackle the menace of open defecation in the state.
Commissioner for Environment, Ola Oresanya, who stated that the state government has already begun a campaign against open defecation, said landlords without toilets in their houses would forfeit the property to the government.
Oresanya noted that the government would give a period of compliance to enable landlords convert one of the rooms to a toilet. He said: “The law permits us to take over such a house. It is in the public interest so that you don’t endanger the lives of the people living in the community
